Day 327 – 10/04

Mae Hong Son is very dry and hot in March/April. Work has been going slow as the generator keeps breaking down but the workers could install the railing for the stairs and the open space. They will also install it on the balconies and it will be covered with wood. Very happy that the stairs are nearly finished as it makes all the other work logistics in the building easier. Now the workforce is leaving for a ten day Songkran Holiday. After that hopefully things speed up.

Day 319 – 02/04

Cement toppings for the floors are done & dry. They carved out lines for the window frames. Now more work in progress at the staircase. Some wood and paint for the stairs also arrived. Hopefully the welding will be done in a few days to finish up the stairs.

Day 298 – 12/03

Ceiling aluminum cases are finished and the electrical team has been in the house for the last couple of days to wire up the whole building. Only a few tubes and lines left before they are finished. First load of gypsum boards also arrived to cover the ceiling.

Day 279 – 21/02

Again a slow week of work as the old generator was not strong enough for the welding machine. Took a bit of time but the new generator from the contractor arrived and the build of the steel-wood staircases is now going ahead.

Day 272 – 14/02

Workers fixed little mistakes here and there, plastering the last bits as well as connecting the pipes between the different floors. Some pipes have been put into place quite randomly so we had to correct position & slope etc. – not so easy but now all at the right place. Waterproof liquid has been used to treat the flat roof for the upcoming cement topping.
